The Clayborne is by far the best apartment complex in historic Old Town. It is very cozy, boutique and well run. The staff are fantastic and make this place feel like home. I am so grateful to live here. And the trees/ landscaping is wonderful.

They lied to me about my lease. They told me I couldn't cancel it without penalty during a disaster, but the lease said I could. But I believed them instead of reading my lease. And when I asked to rectify the situation by just letting me cancel my lease without penalty belatedly, Elme Communities made it clear they don't care. They still haven't fixed it completely either after a month since moving back in. If they never misinformed me, I would have cancelled my lease. They refused to refund any money to me after promising to do so. That promise was another one that kept me complacent from cancelling my lease. I just want to cancel my lease without penalty. I don't want to live somewhere where I am manipulated into staying. I was told Elme "wasn't that type of business" that didn't care about it's residents. Well turns out it is that type of business. The business doesn't honor its word.

I would like to express my very positive experience with and admiration of two staff members of Clayborne Apts, namely, Bianca and Latysha, for their diligence and work ethic. Bianca gladly and efficiently took care of my concerns before my move, answered all my questions, and greatly helped me have a smooth transition to Clayborne Apts from my previous home. Latysha was instrumental on the actual day of my move, providing guidelines and valuable comments for my stay at Clayborne. They are both wonderful .
