I was skeptical about whether this service would be effective. The last few summers, we've been unable to use our yard due to the many, many aggressive mosquitoes on our property. Mosquito Shield has far exceeded our expectations. The number of mosquitos in our yard has been DRAMATICALLY reduced. My children and I spend time in the yard daily now; I think I've experienced three bites all summer, where in summers past, I'd get three bites just walking down the driveway to my car. I will most definitely use this service next summer, and feel confident recommending Mosquito Shield to my neighbors.

We use them at our shop. Our building backs up to on one side to Merrifield Garden Center which waters every day and a junkyard on the other side with mixed vegetation and understandably no maintenance in their yard. For years we had so many mosquitoes and it was something that we simply lived with. Mosquito Shield has been by a few times and we literally have zero mosquitoes now. Why didn't I think of this years ago! Service: Mosquito extermination

Wont take my business. To be upfront this review isnt assessing if their service works or not, just that they wont take my business. I was extremely excited to sign up this year. My backyard is full of mosquitos due to my neighbor having a pond that looks more like a swamp and copious amounts of overgrown vegetation. I did my research and found Mosquito Shield to have excellent reviews. So I called and asked a few questions. I told them about my unique situation that you can only access my backyard by going through the house. I told them I could either leave a key or be at home on the days that they spray. I was assured this wouldnt be a problem, and they made a note of it on my account. So I signed up and paid the first installment. A day or two later, I get a phone call that said they wouldnt be able to do the service anymore because its a liability to walk through my house. They said the backpacks are huge (Ive seen them they arent that big that they cant fit through the doorway or hallway). They would literally have to be in my house for all of 10 steps.
I told them I have no issue with them walking through my house to get to the backyard. They could have at least came out and looked our house to assess the situation.
Oh well, I will find someone else that will gladly take my business.
