My husband and I had a lovely babymoon here! It's a package we would definitely recommend. Sandra was so kind and accommodating. She helped us find things to do in the area and made sure our whole experience was flawless. She and Jeff did a great job giving me vegetarian options for breakfast. The food was delicious! I had a very relaxing prenatal massage on-site with Lindy. There is so much history in the house and so many cute little areas to sit and relax with a good book. There are train tracks right across from the Inn, and it can be loud but only a couple of trains came through at night. It is about a 40 minute drive to Staunton and 30 minutes to Lexington, which is where a lot of the restaurants and things to do are located. Overall, it was such a nice little get away. It was very cute and there were so many little touches that helped to make our trip feel extra special. Rooms: We stayed in the Allegheny room. It was very nice and spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable. There was a cute little electric fireplace/heater in the room. This room is at the front of the house, so the trains were a bit louder in here. The communal areas in the rest of the house, were very cute and cozy and well kept. We felt right at home. Food & drinks: Breakfast each morning was very tasty! They gave me a vegetarian alternative for the meat my non-veggie husband was served. Breakfast had two courses, as well as coffee, tea, juice, and pastries. We also enjoyed a night time snack of milk and cookies, which was a nice treat! There is a communal fridge and freezer available which was nice for holding leftovers.

I can not stress enough, that if you're reading this trying to decide if this is the place for you, you absolutely need to go ahead and book the stay. I took the wife here for a Babymoon, and her Bday on Jan 24th. Leading up to our 3 day stay, communication between the owners Sandra and Jeff was awesome. Sandra was the one I mainly communicated with and i found her to be very professional, respectful, and willing to go above and beyond if I needed. She inquired about things that a husband should focus on such as a Bday cake etc. Between working two jobs and life itself I was already stressed and trying to make sure this area and the Inn were something that would give her life lasting memories and thanks to Sandra and Jeff, the trip was DEFINITELY something she'll never forget. Once we arrived, we were greeted by Sandra, who was all smiles as she explained our stay, gave us a brief history of the Inn and area, and she was very easy to talk to. The Inn itself appears to be VERY well taken care of structurally and the grounds surrounding it. The living room as soon as you enter is very rustic lookin, big fireplace and a very positive energy within. The dining room has a smaller, man-made fireplace, and very cozy. Sandra makes the breakfasts and is a wonderful cook. The eggs were the fluffiest and all around the food was very flavorful. Try her Lil grapefruit dish if you get a chance. We aren't typical Bed and Breakfast people. Don't plan to be either, UNLESS we will be staying here. There are a very few trains that pass through but you really don't even know they come through. It's located in a valley with mountains surrounding and sits on the bank of a small river or creek. The rooms are well kept and cozy within the Inn itself, but we chose to stay in the Serenity Cabin with the Babymoon package, they have other packages for couples etc. It sits next to the Inn, but far enough away to feel isolated if that's your choice. The cabin itself is on stilts and gives a great view around you, with river Bank right there in the back yard. This was hands down the BEST choice I could have made. We left feeling like we weren't strangers with Sandra and Jeff, and we absolutely look forward to staying here again! They even had a present for our soon to be Lil one! There is no reason to NOT choose the Hummingbird Inn for your peaceful stay away from the norm. There's not a lot of rules but if you're a smoker just remember to be courteous and take your cigarette butts with you when you leave and DO NOT SMOKE in the rooms. Other than not being loud and obnoxious, those are the only rules. Nearby activities: Definitely try the Mill Street Grill about 40 min away, hands down the BEST food, all of it was, but do NOT get a "Maryland Style Crabcake" they put onions and sweet peppers in em. Safety: Very safe property all around. Food & drinks: GREAT BREAKFASTS

This B & B is a gem!! Sandra and Jeff are amazing hosts. Sandra is so welcoming and made us feel at home. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms had every amenity we could have needed. We chose the romantic getaway package that included the charcuterie board, massages and $50 toward dinner the 2nd night. The charcuterie board was fabulous and the wine paired perfectly. The massage from the massage therapist Angel was one of the best massages I have ever had! We ate at the Tavern at Warms Springs and the dinner was top notch. We highly recommend booking a soak at the Warm Springs that recently opened. Also, drinks at the lobby bar at the Homestead did not disappoint. The bartender Christa was fantastic. This was the perfect getaway for our anniversary. Highly recommend!

We couldnt have been more happy with our stay at the Hummingbird Inn B&B. The innkeepers Sandra and Jeff were gracious hosts. My name is Quentin and my spouse is Vincent. We have been together over 25 years and when we first met I had a newborn named Hunter when we started our lives together. Ten years later we decided to have another child who is named Jonas. From there it was kids, kids, kids. Our youngest thought it would be nice if we took a trip together without kids (what a thoughtful young man he is today). We decided to visit Goshen after losing our dear friend Lee who was from there. We were somewhat apprehensive about traveling to a mountain area being a gay couple. The innkeepers were more than welcoming and made us feel at ease. As for as the town of Goshen they either were non-judgmental or did not figure it out. LOL We really enjoyed the morning breakfast with the other guests and especially meeting the Pitmans. We would highly recommend for anyone to stay at this wonderful and relaxing hideaway in the mountains of Virginia. We are planning a return visit in the spring of 2024.
