Asked Jay to come by to repair a faulty electrical circuit when my coffeemaker wasn't getting any currrent from an outlet and I then noticed that several basement rooms were without power. I thought it was a faulty circuit breaker, so he asked me by email to take a picture of it so he could come over equipped with the proper parts. He replaced the AFCI breaker and gave me a thorough explanation of what he had done. He also discussed how electric systems can deteriorate over time and gave me some information on what we could do to upgrade our system to avoid or prevent further problems. His rates are reasonable.

Jay recently replaced a control panel for us. When we discovered a spark in the original panel, he rushed over to review to ensure our safety even though he was heading out of town with his family. He provided steps to take to ensure safety until he was able to replace. He was very prompt, reasonable in price and just provided a very honest/transparent service. We cant thank him enough and highly recommend Jay to others.

I am the sort of person who does not hire a professional. I see any problem as a new learning opportunity, and just figure I'll buy the tools and do it myself. I was reluctant, but needed an electrician to change out my service panel and have it pass inspection.
