We live in Ashburn and recently completed a major renovation of our home to include kitchen, flooring, four bathrooms, moved laundry room upstairs, and renovated basement. Julie was recommended to us by a friend and she has been crucial in every aspect of the planning, project scope, design and execution. Her design expertise is extraordinary and we love the cabinet line her company carries. We chose one of the builders she recommended and their close collaboration made the project almost seamless. The project was completed on schedule and we are delighted with the work. We look forward to the memories we will have in our newly renovated home. We purchased a home in Loudoun County in Spring of 2022 from out-of-state and knew we would need help with making updates to the house and space planning. We were referred to J&L Interiors by our Realtor and it has turned out to be the best referral we have ever received. Julie has been amazing to work with in helping update our new home. She has spent time getting to know us and studying our likes and dislikes which has helped her make great recommendations. The initial scope of our project has grown as we have seen the value of engaging her services. Julie and her team have saved us time, lowered our stress around our move, been conscientious of our budget, and have made our home into a beautiful refuge for our family. She has helped us with everything from planning the layout for rooms, selecting new furniture, engaging with her trusted contractors for flooring updates and bathroom remodels (all with items she helped us select), selecting and installing new blinds, lighting, and artwork, to switching out door hardware, ceiling fans, and smoke detectors and helping stage built in bookcases. To help us with the selection process, Julie has built Pinterest pages with ideas for our selections and often sends us several pictures of ideas for each item for us to choose from. Julie is a very responsive communicator and a great listener. Olivia and Duane who help with her team are also fabulous to work with. We are so thankful to have worked with them on this large undertaking and absolutely would recommend them for your home design projects - large or small. Working with Julie and the J&L team far exceeded our expectations. We have worked on projects big and small - from bathroom renovations to redecorating rooms - and she was able to translate our ideas into a clear vision that fit in our budget and made the process enjoyable and much less stressful than it would have been if we tried to do it on our own. Weve worked with Julie at J&L Interiors since 2015 when we moved into a new home and we wanted help deciding on window treatments and wall colors in our open-floor plan main level. Julie recommended fun fabrics that we never would have considered and pointed out pros and cons to different types of window treatments that resulted in thousands of dollars saved. Fast forward five years and we contacted Julie again to help us redo our main floor, from a living room refresh to transforming a closet into a dry bar to refreshing a powder room. From furniture and fabric selections to design ideas Julie made the process stress-free and fun. She coordinated the delivery and set up of all the furniture and accessories and even made herself or one of her team available to be at our home to accept deliveries when my husband and I couldnt be home. The contractor that Julie recommended for our project was professional, competent and easy to work with. The finished product exceeds all of our expectations and we couldnt be happier. We are continuing to work with Julie and the same contractor to finish our basement. Julie incorporated our requests and designed a layout that left no wasted space and flows beautifully. She always suggests items that will keep us within our budget and shes on-site for all the big meetings with the tradespeople. The space is almost finished and we are so thrilled with the transformation of an unused playroom and unfinished space to a sophisticated media room and gathering space with a fully-equipped kitchen that we will love to use to host friends and family. Julie and the team at J&L have been a pleasure to work with - professional, responsive and detail oriented - and I cannot recommend her services enough. In fact, once this project is complete we are eager to use her services redesigning our upper level.
