Last night, many churches within the SBC gathered to celebrate the sending of missionaries through the IMB. It was such an honor to witness God's people continue the work of the great commission. To be able to partner in the sending of those answering the call to go is such a blessing. Whether you continue to pray Luke 10:2, financially support &/or answer the call to go, we all have a purpose in God's plan. It doesn't matter what church you go to, I dare you to pray & ask God, "show me Lord what you want from me". If you don't go to church, I want to encourage you to find a local church community where the Gospel is not only preached but carried out. The church we attend, they encourage us to set a daily reminder to pray Luke 10:2 (ESV) [2] And he said to them, The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. It's easy...just set an alarm for every morning at 10:2. Put it on vibrate if needed, as many of you will be at work. It doesn't need to be a long fancy prayer. The Holy Spirit speaks for us when we don't know what to pray. Romans 8:26 (ESV) [26] Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
