It looks like we should have gone with a local business after all. We got several quotes . But we thought going with an established larger business would be reliable. They told us that we couldnt get an appointment with the installer through LL until the flooring was placed in house and we were assured when we picked it up that the installer would contact us the next day. That was a week ago. So here we sit with all furniture moved, carpet torn up waiting. They dont return our calls.

Initially we had a good experience with them however, as the process of getting the flooring continued on, issues arose. This was the location on VA Beach Blvd, VA. First they tried to order extra parts that we did not need and they did not take off all the items we asked them to off the estimate. We said we would pull up the old flooring and dispose of it, which we did. They kept the fees on the estimate and it took us almost a year and MANY emails/calls to finally get the refunds. It came in several refunds as "the workers needed to state they didn't do the work and LL Flooring couldn't refund us." Once the supplies came in and the workers were here to start the work, we found out they ordered the wrong parts and never ordered parts we needed. The workers were able to start the flooring but had to come back to finish it. During this time, we had to scramble to order the right parts only to find out that they had to order them in and getting floorboards that we originally ordered would cost us extra now. So, we got stuck with white painted floorboards due to their now inflated prices and "minimum 2 month wait" for the parts we originally ordered. The workers (A1 Flooring) initially refused to admit that we did the initial tear up and disposal which was another long fight. Luckily I took pictures and video of us tearing this up and disposing of it all. They would open several packages of flooring at once (like 5-6 at a time) so now I have tons of extra supplies that I cannot return because they are all partially used. The baseboards were installed at a later date only for us to find that they aren't smooth where they are connected and they left a gap at the bottom where it meets the floor which has since allowed roaches and lizards into the house. We have since been unable to reach them to fix it. During this time we also ordered additional flooring for another room. While the ordering went well on this part, I was told it would take several months to get the parts in. I paid for the flooring which put a hold on the materials and waited for them to call and let me know the flooring was in. The call never came. They began ignoring our calls and emails. Even visiting the store led to "We don't know what you are talking about." - This is all taking place while I was trying to get our funds reimbursed for the work WE did. - It wasn't until 5 months later that we were able to get in touch with someone. They said the materials did come in and they contacted us several times for pickup. This is straight lies. I have emails and phone records to show that no one ever attempted to call. They said they sent the materials back and find no fault with what they did. They could not even prove via records that they tried to contact us. We definitely would have picked up the supplies that we already paid for! At this point, I cannot stand LL Flooring. The location on General Booth Blvd in Virginia Beach is terrible and would not recommend anyone work with them ever. The Manager and Assistant Manager are not trustworthy. They will try to scam you and overcharge. They will take your money for parts and work, return the parts without telling you, and refuse to refund anything. They are terrible. Definitely one of the biggest scams I have dealt with yet. The work is mediocre at best. I will definitely go to someone else for the additional work needed.
