I rented a unit here while working out of Washington, DC. for the year. The property is stunning, new and very well maintained. The management team is very helpful and they resolve things quickly.

Don't move here. In short, this building is full of issues and the management team really does not care. Here are some of the problems: - in less than a year of living here, there has been a fatal shooting and the theft of two cars from the overly expensive parking garage (and the attempted theft of a third) - one of the main elevators was down for several months after being removed from service by the county following an entrapment - residents do not pick up after their pets, so there is dog poop everywhere surrounding the property. there are also issues with residents allowing their pets to use the bathroom in the hallways and failing to clean it up - there is not enough street parking, so people are constantly parking over the lines. it makes it so that the streets are narrow and dangerous to drive on. management loves to say that it isn't their problem and you need to call the city, even if cars are blocking the entrance to their private parking garage - the "private" dog park is known to be perfectly accessible to non-residents, so people from other buildings bring their dogs there - the package system is a nightmare. there is nowhere near enough lockers for the amount of residents, so the majority of packages are sent to the front desk. it takes hours, if not days, to have your package logged in and they are routinely misplaced. management maintains that the building is not responsible for losing your packages, and you need to contact the shipping carrier to try to get a refund - the fee to break your lease early is more expensive than two months rent. management does not seem to understand why I would want to leave this place despite the above statements, so I will be paying for the remainder of my lease regardless - my first week living here they claimed they were going to finish adding mirrors into the parking garage and add speed bumps to prevent the speeding that routinely occurs. almost a year later, the mirrors are not finished and there is not a speed bump in sight - elevators and elevator buttons are routinely broken. handicap buttons at the front door are routinely broken. I complained about the handicap buttons four times and was ignored until I threatened to report them to the state for not complying with Virginia Fair Housing. The button was fixed, only to break a week later. I have given up on trying to bully them into caring about accessibility - they claim they are implementing additional safety measures, but as of writing this nothing has changed. "in the process of adding" means nothing when things promised a year ago have not been completed I could go on, but this place is not worth any more of my time and frustration. The five star reviews are fake. Do yourself a favor and live somewhere else.
