Safeway

This Safeway used to be small until they expanded it a month or two ago. It actually has a bigger floral department, a bigger produce section, a bigger meat department, a bigger bakery section, a bigger liquor section, a bigger Starbucks with seating, separate designated parking spaces for online orders, and a lot more row of aisles for groceries. I also like that they have a Safeway gas station across within the same lot. Their pharmacy is still small, though. There is one change that happened recently (2-3 wks) in the hot prepared food/deli department, which I'm really bummed out about. I used to rave and look forward to eating their fried chicken, but not so much anymore. Their new fried chicken recipe is much crispier, more dry, and a tad bit over fried. My family is no longer a big fan. My daughter used to devour and debone their fried chicken, but not anymore. She can barely finish a small drumstick. I really hope that they would bring back the old recipe, which had a perfect balance of crispiness, moist, tender, and flavorful meat! I would have rated this establishment 4 stars, but I can't get over that they've taken a step back with their famous fried chicken recipe.

Helpful staff. Using the digital coupon is a pain, but it sure saves you money! The new remodeled store in Arlington is more spacious.

My go to spot, I'm loving the remodel and the extra inventory added to the store. It's beautiful and did a really good job remodeling it

2 stars for having good produce. I worked 35 years and took care of my husband till he passed away. Retired I barely make ends meet. I get 139.00 foodstamps. I'm a American citizen and cashiers always make me feel more humiliated than I already do.
