Update: After this review, they made up for it. Also co-incidentally the bellevue team was changed and replaced by a new team. Recently I rented a car again, the process was very smooth and the staff was friendly. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. I was given a car with a loose rearview mirror, that changed orientation and angles when I drove fast on a freeway (speed 50+ miles per hour). It drove fine in the city for a week as I never took it on a freeway, but started giving problems a week later when I drove on the freeway for the first time (Saturday, Sept 10). I called Avis Customer support and they asked me to go to the Bellevue location at 2 PM the next day(Sunday, Sept 11) to get the car exchanged. I go, and they tell me (very rudely) that they do not have a car for me, and they cannot help me. They counter-question me and ask me why I am coming to them after a week with this problem. THE AUDACITY! Theytell me that I should call Avis customer care again and resolve it on my own. I told them I am not walking in, I talked to them already and they sent me here. They tell me that it is NOT THEIR PROBLEM that there are no cars. I see there were cars, 2 were returned in front of me. when I ask them about those cars, they tell me that they are for new reservations and if I really need a car I should go to the airport. I ask them for a car to drive to the airport, to which they reply they have only a 12 seater van which I can take. I tell them I am not comfortable driving a van, could they get a car here for me, to which they say no. My plans and mood got fully ruined that day, because of the horrible customer service I experienced. Ultimately I asked them if I can exchange the car the next day(Monday), and they say yes. I come again the next day and I get the car exchanged. My day trip plans and mood got fully ruined on Sunday, because of the horrible customer service I experienced. Also, so much time waste happened by making 2 different trips on 2 different days. Not to mention the fact that I was given an unsafe car to drive in the first place (which had a loose rear view mirror) which could have led to an accident.

Extremely unprofessional. They never answer the phone even though the are multiple people there (verified in person). You have to negotiate to obtain basic help. We tried to get a 4WD vehicle and miserably failed unless we were willing to pay extra on the day of the trip. A true nightmare.
