John Howie Catering

It is hard to express how wonderful the John Howie team was in a simple review but I will try! We worked with John Howie Catering for our wedding. My husband and I had a very detailed vision for our reception dinner, including a five coursed meal with wine pairings and a very complicated service plan. The MVP in all of this is Kathi Jo, the lead on the John Howie side who not only delivered on the vision to perfection but also made the process extremely fun. Wedding planning is not for the faint of heart and I can say working with the John Howie team was a highlight. Kathi Jo is extremely meticulous, detail-oriented, customer-centric, not to mention a warm/kind soul, but I think her greatest strength is her dedication to the craft. You can tell how deeply she cares about serving great food to great people. For example, in one of the tastings, we had made a side comment about how the risotto mightve been slightly under. She immediately went to Chef Howie and made sure the risotto would be prepared properly and then had us come for a complimentary second tasting to ensure it was perfect. Thank you Kathi Jo, Robert, Steve, and the rest of the John Howie team for the best reception we couldve ever hoped for. Many people said it was the best food theyve ever had at a wedding! We are so lucky we had the chance to work with all of you.

We used John Howie for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier. First and foremost, the food surpassed our expectations. We have eaten at Seastar many times, so we understood the caliber of food we were dealing with... but it was a wedding, so we expected some degradation. Not so! Every guest we talked to remarked that it was the best meal they had ever had at a wedding. The planning process was no less spectacular. Our coordinator, Sarah, was amazing and worked with us to develop a perfect menu (to include our major ask of a raw oyster bar). Day of, the staff was a delight to work with and it really felt like their sole mission was to contribute to an easy and stress free night. John Howie Catering was a critical piece of making our night as magical as it was, and we can't recommend them enough. Cheers! Nick and Callie Pines.

We were fortunate enough to find John Howie Catering for our wedding, and they were absolutely perfect. Our coordinator Kathi Jo was very patient and responsive, and made us feel like she was as excited about our day as we were. The food was excellent, and many guests made a point of telling us that long after the wedding. John Howie handled every detail without us having to think about it, and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. Save yourself some time in your wedding planning and reach out to them first.
