        First, if you are reading this and looking for an adult family home (AFH) for your loved one, I'm so sorry you are in this situation. I know how stressful this process can be. Hopefully my review will at least help you in your decision making. Our loved one (with dementia) and our family were not a good fit (care philosophy) with this AFH. Fortunately, we realized this pretty early on, about 1-2 months in. While change is very hard, we ultimately moved our loved one to a new home at about 3 months. I'm happy to report that we are aligned with the care philosophy in the new AFH and most of our related stress has dissipated. Wishing you the best in your search. Hang in there. Once you find the right home for your loved one, it will get better.

      On Good Hands Adult Family Home

      On Good Hands Adult Family Home established by Mary and Cornel Turcu in 2000. It offers seniors personal care and companionship in an intimate family home environment. We specialize in Dementia Care, Alzheimer Care, Memory Care and caring for seniors with physical disabilities or memory impairment. We are licensed by the State of Washington to provide care for up to six individuals. The individuals we provide care for lives within the home and are provided with 24-hour care through Hospice. Both Mary and Cornel are devoted to maximizing a persons dignity, independence and quality of life. They both have over 22 years of experience caring for vulnerable adults.
