Great park! Miles and miles of tails for running or hiking. Coal creek falls is a great spot as well as the clay pits. Theres also an air ventilation shaft from an old coal mine.

This trailhead has an ample parking lot as well as an equestrian lot. As I set out to find new mushrooms and fungi throughout this network of trails. I never would have imagined to find Laccaria Amethystina!! What a gorgeous mushroom! Never would have imagined to find such a regal purple! And to think that these are supposed to be very common. Just goes to show how fungi can be easily overlooked.
