Great service. Needed a tech late in to the evening. Took about 2 hours for them to arrive. It was a bit expensive for a. Hours worth of work, $800, but Phil fixed the issue so I guess money well spent. Good professional service. Just plan to pay a lot.

My toilet backed up. After several goes of trying to clear it myself, I called the plumber. A couple plumbers gave me quotes but were not available same day. Roto rooter refused to provide an estimate but was available same day. I figured that at worst the cost would be twice that of the other plumbers. Nope - they charged 3.5x the price of the other plumbers. The plumber shows up at your house, verifies what you've already said on the phone, and then provides a quote. However, by the time the plumber got to my house and provided his astronomical quote, it was far too late to get someone else. So, two stars because:
1.) No estimates over the phone, even for a very standard procedure (clearing toilet clog). Note that I do not expect a firm quote, just an estimate.
2.) Actual quote came in at 3.5x what was estimated by competitors. The job took a few minutes and cost hundreds.
Had I had any ballpark idea of the price in advance, I would have found someone else.
This is completely unacceptable. I'm only giving 2 stars, because the plumber himself was nice and polite. But I would never use these people again. I'm amazed at how many good ratings they have.
