Awesome romantic getaway! The view, the food, and the steam room are all amazing! It was quiet inside, the train tracks are very close though. The room is big and comfortable. The bathroom had a huge tub and a standing shower. The bay view is awesome, the best! This is great for a two or three-night getaway. The parking lot below was included. It is also right next to the South Bay Trail to Fairhaven or downtown Bellingham. Great Stay! Rooms: It's worth the $40 extra bucks for the bay view rooms! The bed is comfortable, the tub is huge, and we had a comfy padded bench in the window. Nearby activities: The South Bay Trail, specifically Taylor Dock, is right by it. Great for a walk or run! Walkability: It is .2 miles from Fairhaven and .2 from Boulevard Park and Woods Coffee to the north. It is right off of the South Bay Trail. Food & drinks: Amazingly good restaurant, Keenan's! All the food we tried was delicious! Noteworthy details: It is right by the train tracks. You might get used to it. It was only a distraction for me in the morning.

Beautiful boutique hotel with a very comfortable bed. The only downfall is the noise from the train. Our dog was spooked the entire night. It would be nice if the spa was open on Mondays.

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Free underground parking was convenient. Walking distance to the center of town. Small fridge with a freezer corner was good for leftovers. There was a large chest next to the stairs on the 2nd floor with quart bags of ice. Upgrade to king deluxe with full bay view - large room with gas fireplace and huge window seat (great for watching the beautiful sunset. Yes, the cargo trains are annoying, as others have mentioned. They do provide small foam earplugs. There's a set of power and a couple USB A outlets on the desk and nightstands. The tub is enormous, the shower not so much. I don't know about others, but I like having real glasses and mugs instead of paper/plastic. Breakfast options were available within the HHonors allowance. It was a little odd that they couldn't make pancakes because of a problem with the grill, but they could make French toast (unusually made from bread pudding). Walkability: About a half mile from the center of town where all the shops and restaurants are located. Nice trail along the waterfront. Noteworthy details: Trains are close and noisy. No microwave in the room. Look out for the top stair - it's in a bit of shadow. Entrance to the garage is to the right as you face the hotel (i.e., pass the lobby Entrance to get to the garage if the water is on your left).

I had called in to book our stay. I told the lady it was for my husbands 50th bday and asked if we could have a room where the jacuzzi tub was in the window overlooking the ocean- I stressed the importance of that- we were given the wrong room, disappointed from the start. The microwave I requested was broken and the shower door wouldnt close- needs a magnet. The mini fridge had no shelves, every bar & shelf was taken out- should have a separate operational fridge for personal items. There was a black curly hair under the glass cup in the washroom on arrival, I flipped the cup over just to have cleaning staff cup another cup over the black hair again. I am Canadian so I had to pay $500/night for 3 nights, this is very expensive for not getting any care. It is sad because your hotel could be something with some care & attention & paint.
