Baker Creek is the absolute best studio I've practiced at in five years of learning pottery. Brecken, the owner, is an all around chill guy who is an incredibly patient and helpful teacher, willing to step in when needed or let folks do their own thing. Could not possibly recommend this studio enough to anyone of any skill level, whether you're brand new or an experienced pro, it's a lovely supportive space to practice your craft!

Baker Creek Ceramic studio is the best community clay studio in Bellingham! The studio manager/owner, Brecken, makes the studio very welcoming. Its a perfect place for beginner potters as well as advanced potters. The instructors are very patient and knowledgeable on all aspects of throwing and hand building projects. Ive been coming to Baker Creek for 2 years now and wouldnt think of going anywhere else!

Baker Creek is The Place To Go! Ive now taken two classes with Brecken, and seen my skills and understanding of each step in the creative process skyrocket. Aside from being an exceptional teacher, Brecken was always good natured and friendly. Everybody in the class seemed excited to be there, and progressed rapidly. The studio is immaculately cleaned and well-stocked. It hosts an impressive array of glazes as well as more tools than you could ever learn to use. Take a class here.

Hands down my favorite place in Bellingham! The instructors are knowledgeable, encouraging, and thoughtful, and the studio is welcoming and well-equipped. As studio manager, Brecken has built an incredible sense of community. He has a gift for helping students challenge themselves while never losing sight of having fun, and his love for ceramics and for teaching show up in everything he does. I started at Baker Creek as a beginner, and in the couple of years since then the classes I've taken have given me confidence not only in technical skills with clay, but also in my ability to experiment and bring my own style and creativity into my work. Whether you're curious about trying ceramics for the first time, or youre a more experienced potter looking to build on your skills, Baker Creek Ceramics is the place for you!
