We had our Son in this school for five months and in the five months we had more bad experiences then good. 1. Ask why this is the only pre school that's not posting  their credentials. 2. Ask about early child development.  You have to go and get updated trainings on this and stay current. 3. This school has lots of field trip that would certainly be fun if they were more organized with informing to the parents sooner than the night before. This was something all the parents complained about. 4. I had a mom bump into me at a store telling me she felt bad for my son because the teacher was talking about him in-font of other parents.5. Lacks professionalism and confidential conversations.6: Not enough positive environment and I believe this might go back to the lack of early child development training. 7. High expectations for a four year old boy.8. No posting of first aid and CPR training or food handlers permit BUT snack were given. What if a toddler begin to choke? We as parents should feel that our children are being safe environment  once we drop them off.9. Open lines of communication with the teacher shouldn't come across as being defensive. Several parents felt this way.Maybe it was just our son that they just didn't connect with or have the patients for but has parents this is the start to their little minds. This is our opinion as loving parents.  We suggest to do your own research. Check out Sycamore Tree and Manette  pre-school to see the needed skills based on Washington State board of Education.

Our daughter has really enjoyed and learned SO MUCH from this preschool. She's learned how to listen and communicate with others and has built a great platform for social growth. She's also learned a lot of core concepts like writing and letter sounds, counting and other skills that will lead her to success in school. She also thoroughly loves her teachers!

I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the teachers or the education that my son has received at Little Sprouts over the past two years. Ms. Jo, Ms. Janine and Grandma Pat are tireless in their efforts of teaching our youth. These three have dedicated their lives to instilling a love of learning in our young ones and making sure that they not only are academically prepared for their next learning endeavors, but socially prepared. My son has learned so much about acceptance and diversity in his time at Little Sprouts and I cannot thank the teachers here enough, as I think these values are not as emphasized as they once were and still should be. The kids learn about all holidays (not just majorly accepted or religious ones), many cultures (including field trips related to culture, food tastings of various ethnic foods, and about the traditions of several geographic areas, tribes and groups) and are taught acceptance of diversity. The kids have a field trip every month which have included things like learning how to ride a city bus and shop for holiday gifts at the dollar store, ordering (and behaving) at a restaurant, visiting the Suquamish Tribal Museum, watching the salmon run through a nearby creek (after learning all about the life cycle and migration patterns of salmon), visited the library, nursing home and zoo (and so many more I can't remember). All of the field trips have been highly entertaining for the kids while providing real life learning situations that encourage them to be confident problem solvers, like they are taught by the teachers at Little Sprouts. The kids are also taught patience and practice through their "train station" goal-getting incentive program. This program gives each kid an individual goal, specific to their areas of needed improvement, and each time the child goes a whole class meeting this goal (such as staying in your seat during the beginning of class or writing your name) they get to move their train to the next station until they get to the final station (6 times) and are rewarded with a trip to the prize box. The teachers really take the time to teach the fundamentals, step by step. Academically, they learn more than I have ever thought possible at this age. They learn how to write their names, continents (my 4 year old can tell me all of them!), planets (can tell me those, too), music and rhythm, about caring for our earth (planting seeds, recycling, composting, chickens), animals and sea life, and so, so many more things. As I said before, I cannot express how thankful I am for the teacher at Little Sprouts for everything they have taught my son, and I can't wait to send his younger siblings to Little Sprouts!
