We love Roxanne! She was our daughter's pre-school teacher waaay back at The Cottage School in Montlake. Roxanne was kind yet firm, tolerant yet disciplined where needed, and organized and creative. She was not only great with the kids but also great at helping parents deal with complex  situations and communicate positively and respectfully. So happy to find out she's still working with kids at her own school!

My son attended this daycare for two years, starting right after he turned two. I was nervous to go back to work full time and send him to daycare for the first time but they made this transition so much easier for me! Roxanne, Cassandra and Julie are amazing with the kids. My son looked forward to going to school every day and sometimes would not even want to leave when I came to pick him up at the end of the day! We moved recently and were so sad to leave the Appleseed School. My son still talks about it and how he misses his teachers and the friends that he met. Thank you Roxanne, Cassandra and Julie!

My son attended Appleseed school for over a year and loved it and so did we. Roxanne (owner/director) is flexible and open to accommodating personal requests. She takes a personal interest and when he started learning how to put on his coat or his shoes, he would say Roxanne taught me to do this. Both Cassandra and Roxanne would often give feedback and you can see that they create a positive environment for the kids to be in.

My husband and I feel truly fortunate to have found Appleseed School in Edmonds.  Our four-year-old son is on his second year here, and as a WA state certified teacher, I cannot say enough good things about this amazing little home daycare/school!  Roxanne and Cassandra are wonderful--kind, caring, patient, and loving.  There is an emphasis on teaching the fundamental social and emotional skills that kids need to thrive, and each child is made to feel truly important and valued.  Academically, Roxanne works hard to reach each child at his/her own level.  Also, upon visiting the school over a year ago, I noticed that every child I met was very friendly and happy--a rarity!  This was the only preschool/daycare that we visited that my son didn't want to leave, so we knew it was our place.  We will be sad to leave this tight knit community next fall!
