        What a fun place to explore. The history of the glacial erratics left on top of Steam Boat is fascinating. We hiked up in late December, with a dusting of snow. We saw a herd of deer at the top. The first few feet is a three point scramble but after that it's very doable. With the cliff edges at the top I would not recommend allowing your pets and children to run about up there. Parking: Discovery Pass Required to park Restrooms: Clean and well stocked. Free showers.

        I absolutely loved the Steamboat Rock Trail! The hike was invigorating, and the unique landscape provided breathtaking views from the top that were truly unforgettable. A must-visit for nature enthusiasts and anyone seeking a memorable adventure. Four stars because it exceeded my expectations!
