This review is about registration. I called 2 months in advance to try and register my baby for swim lessons as I was so excited to share his first times in the water with him. They told me to contact them again a month in advance, which I did. Was emailed that they had a spot, told them great that works for me and then the next day was told that nevermind they no longer had a spot as they gave it to someone else. I spoke with a young woman on the phone who just kept saying yeah sorry but it was evident by her tone that she could have cared less. Terrible registration process and poor customer service as a response. You should be able to register and hold your spot for at least 24 hours to finalize everything. Im a full time working mom and cant just drop everything on a dime to finalize a class registration.

The place is very nice. Very clean and well kept. Most of the staff and trainers are high school looking kids, but they are very nice. My 4.5 year old son has been going there for 18 months. Taking away some holidays he has done say 60 sessions out of the 72 weeks. The down side to these sessions though is every class has 4 children and 1 instructor. There is another person there to watch the 3 other children, as they stand on the side of the pool and watch the other kids take their turns. (And just for the record, that is what I have seen when taking my son there and was confirmed by the high school girl at the front desk tonight that said, their policy is 1 trainer and 1 watcher per 4 kids) So, in every 30 min class my son gets 7.5 minutes of actual time with the trainer, as well as the other 3 children. The other 22.5 minutes he stands on the side of the pool and watches the other 3 kids. When you look at the financial side of it. 60 sessions with only 7.5 minutes of actual teaching, my son has had 450 mins of trainer time or 7.5 hours total. Its $140 a month or $35 a session. 18 months x $140 = $2520.00. So, if we divide $2520 by the actual amount of trained hours, youre paying $336 for every training hour or $5.60 a minute. So as I said, its been 18 months and my son cant float on his back with his head above water, cant tread water or keep his head above water, and will drop like a rock and drowned if he jumps in and cant touch the bottom. In all honesty, what should I expect with only 7.5 hours of actual training in 18 months. Its $369 a MONTH for private lessons. Do the math.

My son has been going to bear swim co. Since they have opened. He was 3 and he is now 10. He loves his lessons. The classes are not to busy and there is enough teacher to follow each kid. They do not force kids to learn to a certain speed. They adjust to the kid 's abilities. The water is kept really warm, to ensure the kids don't get cold. The facilities are bright and clean. Our youngest child is currently on a wait list and we can't wait for him to start.
