This was our first major project in our home and we were definitely nervous going in. We contacted Ron at KDC based on some initial reviews, and its probably the best decision weve ever made. From start to finish, the entire process was easy, fast, and transparent.
I had some ideas about what I wanted to do, but in the first five minutes, Ron made sure to manage my expectations and let me know that they wouldnt work; we have an older house (Ive consistently described it as weird whenever unforeseen complications arose) whose quirks I hadnt taken into consideration. After taking a look around, measuring here and there, and asking what we wanted out of our renovation, Ron shot us back a detailed plan within a couple days. We made some calls, got a couple other bids, and after a few weeks, going with KDC was a no brainer.
After some back and forth on materials, budgets, and timelines, we gave the thumbs up, paid our deposit, and within a couple weeks, work began. We had some time considerations for the holidays, all of which Ron, Paul, Matt, and the rest of the folks at KDC were able to juggle without problem. Even during the week where nothing happens we had things going on. They had managed their timeline quite well.
Everyone we met during the process (youll meet a lot of people during this process) was professional, adept, and a treat to work with. At no point did I feel anxious or uncertain that theyd be unable to get the job done. The cabinetry folks, the plumber, the electricianseveryone was great to work with.
