Even though the environment, i.e. the whole place and the area around the hotel, is very depressing, the hotel was an oasis of peace. The room was clean, as was the bed and the bathroom. The breakfast was okay with enough healthy alternatives to the very unhealthy food in the USA. The service from the staff was outstanding. Michelle in particular helped us a lot. Gladly again!

The room smells strongly of smoke and mold. The entrance has cigarette butts everywhere.
My kid got itchy eyes and stuffy nose after an hour in the room.
Do not recommend this outdated and dirty hotel.

We stayed here for almost a week while we looked for an apartment, following a long road trip to the state. It was decent, but underwhelming.
My back is killing me from the uncomfortable mattress. The pool and hot tub haven't been open at any point that we've stayed.
Our biggest complaint though is the breakfast situation. Options are limited to begin with, and they close down early every single day. When the coffee runs out, a full hour before breakfast ends? There will be no more coffee. Or bagels. Or anything else that runs out. When you come down 20 minutes before breakfast ends expecting to grab some last minute food, they've already unplugged the toaster. The eggs are overcooked to the point of despair; they no longer resemble food. The audacity of having a tip jar out when the kitchen host seems so deeply resentful of everyone there is really...something. The ladies at the front desk were great though!
We've been staying at Comfort Inn locations all across the country on this trip, and this is definitely the worst one we've had so far (we judge by mattress/pillow comfort and quality of breakfast), which is surprising for their capital location. I would've liked to stay longer for the convenient location, but I can't stand the back pain and lack of coffee any longer.
