We had an excellent private lesson with Travis last weekend. Travis is a knowledgeable and patient instructor. He did a great job distilling various state laws and safety principles, and he offered practical tips and ideas on everything from safety and maintenance to enhancing our security at home. It was immensely helpful to have Travis' eye and feedback on the range. He expertly diagnosed issues and worked through drills so we could overcome them quickly and effectively. Most importantly, Travis is friendly and kindand this comes across in every interaction, from our inquiry email through the end of class. We look forward to returning to Black Ring Tactical for additional training in the future!

My husband and I recently took the beginners pistol class with Travis and it was a great experience. We learned a lot and talked about situations that you just dont think about everyday. I was very nervous to shoot a gun for the first time. Travis was very professional, knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. I came away from the class feeling more confident and comfortable with handling firearms and learning a lot more than I anticipated. I would highly recommend Travis for any firearms training!

Travis was my Training Manager for an employer we shared. I was very lucky to have many hours of 1 on 1 time with him training in the classroom and at the range. Ive had many trainers though out my career and he is hands down one of the best. Not only is he an outstanding person and teacher but his knowledge and skill set is impeccable.

Absolutely recommend Traviss class. Before I took the class, I had very little confidence handling any sort of firearm. I left the class feeling more educated and more confident! I am excited to take what I learned and have that knowledge in the real world. I plan to sign up for more classes in the future. For those beginners out there, Travis will give you everything you need to feel comfortable and educated in handling firearms. I cant recommend Black Ring Tactical enough and oh by the way, grab some merch because the hats are nice!!
