I have the highest regard for Dr. Buck and my experience with him. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and placed on CPAP which was very difficult for me to wear. Dr. Buck recommended a plan of orthodontics to remodel my bite and jaws. Within several months I was able to sleep normally without CPAP due to the effect of orthodontics jaw remodeling opening my airway. I no longer need CPAP and sleep soundly without apnea. This has been truly life changing as I could not tolerate CPAP and would have continued to suffer with poor sleep which is very detrimental to overall health.

Update: the response below is inaccurate. Yes, my daughter was in the car when I went in and not with me. However, I was not offered a free consultation or a choice in orthopedic bands. You are and orthodontist office. I find it hard to believe you did no what I was referring to when I specifically asked for orthopedic bands. If you were confused...... Your office was dismissive and rude. You should probably stop trying to justify it and just change your behavior. I am from out of town and my daughter ran out of Ortho bands for her braces. Stopped by Balanced Epigenetic Orthodontics to get some replacements. The receptionist was rude and stated "we don't really do that here." Referring to me buying replacement band. I am grateful this is not our orthodontist.

I originally had braces for 4 years as a teenager. After I got them off, I wore my retainer religiously but my teeth still eventually moved out of place. So much so to the point where the only teeth that touched when I bit down were my back molars. I was later told by my old orthodontist that this was because I had a tongue thrust and I could either get braces put on again or a horrifying sounding mouth surgery that would involve breaking my jaw. I always wonder why my old orthodontist didnt tell me about my tongue thrust at the beginning of my treatment??? My parents said thanks but no thanks. Years later I moved to Seattle as an adult and my new dentist immediately acknowledged my tongue thrust without me bringing it up. Thus began my second orthodontic journey, this time with Dr. Buck. Dr. Buck addressed my tongue thrust first and foremost. Because of this, once my teeth were in braces treatment would be quicker since my tongue wouldnt be fighting against the alignment, and they wouldnt slide out of alignment afterwards since the underlying issue would be corrected. I had myofunctional therapy, a tongue appliance, and braces for just under two years. My teeth touch now more than they did after I got my braces off as a teenager. They also just look better and more correct. And this all happened in just 2 years instead of 4! Dr. Buck was always kind and answered any questions I had. I particularly admire how he makes tweaks to his plans as he goes, depending on how my mouth was reacting to the appliances or braces or how fast the alignment was happening. It truly feels like he has a deep understanding of what he is doing. I highly recommend his office especially if you have complex orthodontic issues like I did. Thank you Dr. Buck!
