image Jason and American National should be ashamed of themselves. My father died last year and we're in the process of administering his estate. My father had his home insured through American National. Jason and American Nation canceled the policy because nobody was using my father's house as their primary residence. Jason sent a 30-day written notice to my deceased dad's house, which notice USPS didn't forward to us, and then cancelled the insurance policy. We received notice from the mortgage company, rather than from Jason, that the policy had been terminated. Knowing of our situation, I would have expected at least the common courtesy of a phone call. We subsequently asked Jason for a call, and he said he was going on vacation through the end of the month. Jason basically told us to kick rocks.

Chris, I understand you're frustrated, and I'm sorry for that. Please don’t blame me or American National because you didn't get the letter that was sent, and with more than enough notice advising that the policy would be non-renewed due to the circumstances that you verbally advised me of over a phone call last summer. I personally have done everything you’ve asked of me, and in a professional and timely fashion. American National did everything by the book, and as the law requires. American National sent a letter to the address we had on file, and also to the lender. Based upon your review it sounds like the lender received the letter was sent, but you didn’t because the USPS didn't forward the mail as you requested. Maybe your review should be removed here and left for the USPS instead? If you would like to discuss this further, please give our office a call. Happy New Year!
