I had the crew at Better Off Road deal with a number of things on my 2013 F150, and they were easy to work with and did good work. Initially I brought my truck in for routine maintenance of cooling system and troubleshooting a random noise I couldn't figure out. They were able to find the issue (a parking brake cable that had stretched and was starting to rub due to my oversized tires), replace it to fix it temporarily, and advise on how to fix permanently. I also brought the truck back in to have a big brake kit I had purchased but never had time to install, some fender flares, and other misc small work. They did a great job with all of it, and had no issues scheduling a follow up to address a minor concern I had that turned out to be nothing. I wish I could find a Ford factory service shop this good.

I would give five start as the Customer service is awesome IF you are in the shop. However, they don't answer the phone, the voice mailbox is full and I have sent an email a few times with no response. So four stars. I had them install lockers in the back of my Jeep today which went well. BUT, I need to reschedule my appt for two weeks out and can't get in touch with anyone and I don't want to drive 45 minutes to get there to reschedule (they would be gone by the time I arrived (it's 4:23pm). I'm hoping that they will respond to this review and call me back - you have my phone number gentlemen.

I have had a very disappointing experience with better off road. I reached out to Jason personally, because it felt the adult thing to do. But was completely ignored (if youve ever tired to call or reach them you know thats to be expected). Here is what I sent him, and all i expected was an apology, but not surprising it was just ignored instead I brought my 2019 neon green jeep wrangler down to you personally last year because it sounded loud and had a check engine light and I trusted you to be honest with me based on a repair you did for me several years ago. At the time it was just loud but ran fine and had a check engine light you did a test on. You guys took it in and said it was just the cam sensors that was wrong, the motor was fine despite Karmart saying the motor was blown. You fixed the cam sensors, and said everything was good to go. But as soon as i drove it from there i text your front desk guy and said hey somethings up. Now its shaking really bad, and making jingling sounds like someone running with a pocket full of change any time i slow down. If I drive full speed it drives fine if a little loud. But as soon as i go below 10-15 it shakes really hard and when I go below 10 or stop it turns off completely.. I said i didnt know what happened but it was way worse than before i brought it in. It also had a loose bolt fall out at my feet and i sent him photos and videos of the bolts and the shaking:noises, car turning off etc He asked me to bring it back. I did. An older gentlemen with longer white hair there looked at it and said he knew what was wrong but didnt know how he was going to fix it yet. He had me bring it back 2 more times. Then they text me (i still have all the texts) and said the motor was in fact blown and KarMart was right. I asked several times to please have you call me, and he kept saying he would but you never did. I kept asking him how can the motor be blown but it still drives 15-90 MPH with 0 issues. And it didnt have any of these issues until you fixed the cam sensor. He said he couldnt say but knew the motor was blown and quoted me 11.5k to replace the engine Stupidly i didnt get a second opinion, I really trusted you, and in turn I trusted your staff. Its been parked for nearly a year as it has a 30k loan still, and i had to finance another vehicle till i could come up with 11.5k to fix the motor. Well we had someone who works on jeeps my husband knows who moved back to town offer to look at it for me, because as soon as we said blown motor but still runs and drives at 90 with 0 issues, he said no way the motor is blown. So after he looked at it What was actually wrong with it? The sensor wasnt installed properly. He said the sensor wasnt fully installed at all. It wasnt snapped into place all the way. Plus the bolt was screwed in crooked. It was cross threaded and hanging partway out. He properly installed the cam sensor and properly installed the bolt, and it now runs perfect. No noises. No jingling change sounds. No shaking. No turning off. No engine light. Im super disappointed, not only because i financed a whole new car, paid payments on a car that didnt drive for a year. But because all of this came from sloppy work. And even when i told them it felt like when they fixed it something was wrong, i was not listened to. And when the guy looked at it 3 times, i can only assume no one actually looked at it, cause this other person could see the cam shaft install issues within 5 minutes of opening the hood. If they had checked their work when i said there was issues they would have easily found it.
