Everyone was amazing! Had a straw cat in desperate need and they got him in right away. Wait times were as expected and far better than any other emergency services in the area. Very fortunate and thankful that I found them!

Our little dog, Oliver, got into the garden with freshly tilled compost and got a fungal mold that can be toxic & life-threatening. Don't let your dog eat any moldy food or compost - tremorgenic mycotoxicosis is nothing to mess around with! I am certain our sweet pup would have died without the care he received at OVS. His entire body was shaking so badly, he could not even support himself to stand up. OVS worked with pet poison control to provide the absolute best care and have our pup back home recovering within 24 hours. They were up front about diagnosis, prognosis, and cost range at every step. They explained everything patiently and compassionately, quickly complying when I requested written summaries because my brain was in panic mode. I called several times, including 2:00 a.m. Every time someone spoke to me immediately, answered all of my questions, and reassured me. It was obvious at every step that they really liked Ollie & were doing everything they could to make him well & comfortable. They quickly sent records to our regular vet for follow-up, and called me the day after release to check how he was doing. While the care was expensive (almost $4,000 for 24 hours), that included a lot of IV medication and blood work as well as round the clock monitoring and pampering by their wonderful staff! I hope OVS has programs or referrals to help folks who can't afford the care (me for a long time). 5 days later, Oliver is fully recovered and off medication. Today we celebrated the Removal of the Cone of Shame with a long walk and happily exhausted puppy after. Thank you, OVS! I had a scary situation with my sweet dog. The nurse who came out to check on us made me feel so comfortable and was attentively listening and comforting my dog. She took him back to assess him and shortly after the doctor updated me on his condition. They was very thorough. Made suggestions and presented different options for me. I hated that I had to go in there but was so grateful for them and their care. Hopefully I never have to go back but know if I have to, we will be in good hands. If anyone else is in a situation that your loved pet needs care, please take them here. They are so knowledgeable and attentive.

We took our cat in about 7 pm because he was in a lot of pain. We were told we could leave him to be examined and they would need $500 for tests and we could pick him up later. We called and were told he would be ready about midnight. My husband went back about midnight and was told it would be $2177.49. He was shocked. He asked about the $500 we already paid so they included that. We ended up paying an extra $1677.49 for charges we knew nothing about. They never informed us of the additional costs and we never had an opportunity to say whether we wanted all the tests done or not. We weren't given our cat back until 4 am. We weren't given any kind of invoice. We had to ask for it the next day. We hope we never have to use their service again.
