What a great place to bring kids but not young children because there is a lot of walking to do. The best time to see the birds and four-legged creatures is in the winter or fall season. Great for exercise- walk from one end of the park to the other. Sand, dirt and nice boardwalks all the way to the other end. Make sure you bring your binoculars to look for birds in the marsh. Bring a hat, bring water and comfortable walking shoes. WA Explorer Passes needed to park No dogs allowed

Wonderful for low-key nature. Limited parking keeps crowds down. Fantastic bird watching.
