I went in for a consultation which I paid 200 dollars for. Just to be told over and over again that maybe I like being manipulated. I came to this guy to help me divorce my abusive ex. His professionalism is sorely lacking. If he asks you for 2k in fees you're probably better off spending it on literally anything else.

Update:After my review David Jones contacted my daughter and tried to play nice and said he wouldn't charge her for a upcoming issues (which she was billed for anyways). Thousands of dollars later and nothing changing other than new billing charges we get told "his new lawyer is good you need more to go to court" by mr Jones. I want to say that we retained a new lawyer who isn't afraid of the so called "good lawyer" and in 2 weeks she slapped his "good lawyer" down in court and got the ex to actually follow the parenting plan and we are going to court for the rest of the issues that Mr Jones didn't the have time for or the backbone to handle. We couldn't be happier and if you want to know who we retained send me a message and I will give you her info.As stated in my previous review my daughter was the client but my wife and I helped her with the case. Mr Jones knew exactly who I was and who my daughter was after I left the first review and called her on the phone about the review I left (he was smart enough not to do any his mea culpas in writing). I find it funny that Mr Jones walks the other way when he sees me at Costco but his employee who knows nothing about the situation goes full bulldog on me. I wish mr Jones would have put half the effort and fake outrage Jolinda does into my daughters case it may have saved her thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars and years of hassles.

We are so sorry that the questioning sometimes necessary in initial consultations came across as hostile. The major purpose of the initial consultation is to share information about the potential client’s case. The new client wants to know more about the law involved with their case, the procedures and timing. They want to get a sense of the attorney, what outcome to expect and maybe most of all, they want a good estimate of the cost. The attorney usually needs to do some probing to get a good enough sense of the case to provide honest feedback on the outcome the client could expect, as well as how long it may take and how much it is likely to cost. Probing often takes the form of what the opposing attorney is likely to bring up. That does not mean that your potential attorney believes the truth of potential assertions by the other side. This part of the initial consultation can be particularly painful in Family Law cases. GSJones Law Group attorneys are known for being honest and up-front about the roadblocks. Most of our attorneys have more than 20 years’ experience in Kitsap County and have seen a lot of different fact patterns play out. They do their best to prepare clients for the legal road ahead.
