The "inspector" came out, looked at the car for 5 minutes and told us just under 6k for a 02 camry. Tried to get us on the hook for a whole new paintjob across the vehicle and parts that arent damaged. Didnt even have the courtesy to say hello or goodbye just said "im opening your door" and "can i get the keys". I've had better dealings with crackheads.

Take your vehicle elsewhere. After 6 months and two separate visits they did not finish fixing my work van, and tried to give it back to me with the check engine light on twice. See attached photo of me sitting in their lot with the alerts on my dash. The vehicle is still not drivable due to serious throttle/engine issues. I was told the owner would reach out to make it right, but instead they called my insurance and tried to close the claim to get paid. They did $14k worth of "work" to squeeze my insurance for cash and gave me back an undrivable vehicle. It shows a lack of integrity from the owners and their mechanics. After speaking with the lead mechanic, Ramone, he informed me I should take it to a different mechanic. Couldn't have said it better myself, Ramone. Let's follow his advice and not waste time here; take your vehicle to a real mechanic. Update: To the owner's response. My insurance company advised me to take it somewhere else to get it diagnosed AFTER you all failed to fix the issues, 6 months after I gave it to you for repairs. Your company was recommended as one of their providers that could fix the runnability issues as well as the body damage. Your company took on the responsibility of fixing ALL of the damage when I told your mechanic it was having runnability issues. You outsourced the mechanical repairs (which fixed nothing) and gave it back to me without verifying the repairs. You all don't even run codes before giving a vehicle back...I spoke to your mechanic about the persisting issues and gave your company a second chance by bringing it back a second time, after your mechanic told me they could look into the runnability issues again. Once again, your company outsourced the work, nothing was fixed, 3 months gone. This time I asked your mechanic over the phone if the runnability issues were fixed and he assured me they were. I get it back and not only is it not driveable, the codes are not even cleared, just blatantly ignored. If you're going to use "we're only a body shop" as a cop-out, then don't offer mechanical services in the first place and waste people's time and money. It's clear you subcontract the mechanical work to make a little extra and don't verify that the work was actually done before giving your customers' vehicles back to them.
