I was with Heather for 3 years. she was a great coach taught me most of the stuff I know and got me out of my comfort zone. when she was still a coach for Active Stars after nationals she decided to quit and make her own team, sending personal invites to everyone on her team at Active Stars excluding 3 people including me. This absolutely broke my heart and took away all my desire to cheer from then on and I quit as of a year ago. recently about 8 people have up and quit cheering with Legacy because of the disrespect and favoritism that was going on in that gym. when one quit, all her and her mother got back were negative comments about how they didn't appreciate what Legacy had been doing for them and just rude, uncalled for and sarcastic comments. Great team, horrible management and horrible attitudes.

From a family that has been a part of cheer for about 5 years and on Heathers team for 3 of those years we wanted to post a truthful review. My daughter is 13 and decided to stop cheering with Legacy even though cheer is her life. This decision was solely hers and was made because of frustration and miscommunication. The coach and her husband are good people and have amazing visions, but their ability to operate in an organized and communicative manner needs work. Especially to the families that support them and their dreams. True colors really flew when I brought my daughter to say goodbye to her cheer family. I received nothing but rude comments and fault for taking advantage of their kindness. After saying goodbye, I sent an email to ensure my personal credit card information was removed from their account as it was still reflecting on my online account. To show the lack of respect the coach has for a parent & child that have supported her and have been a part of her cheer family, this is the response she sent back to me: "Good morning Mrs. XXXXXXX please be assured that Dance Studio Pro has been made aware of the situation and it is being taken care of. We to do not want any ties with you or your family to remain and there has been no charges made on your account. Please be assured that we in no way want or need your money and are not in the business of taking advantage of people. Unfortunately you are not our only customer in fact you are not a customer at all anymore. You should see results within 24-48 hours. If there is anything else we can help you with please let us know." The immaturity and rudeness of this response baffles me. I am posting this as I feel it is important to take a stand and let others know that this is how people are treated when they do not adhere or agree with the way the business is ran. It is not fair to all the girls that are committed and work so hard to bring success for the team. I truly do wish Legacy cheerleaders and their coach the best of luck and hope by making this statement it will open the communication for all in the hope that everything turns around for the best.

I was with Heather for almost a year on Legacy. I loved cheering with them until I started getting rude comments from the staff after i didn't attend a practice. It was a Friday night, and there was a bug floating around the gym, so there was about 3/4 of the team absent. Only about 5-10 girls came to practice that night, but I was not one of them. I wasn't going to attend practice that night, because I did not want to catch any sickness that may have been lingering that night. My family has a close family friend, whose daughter is a member of the South Elite Diamonds Elite cheer squad. She had asked me if I had anything planned for that night, and so I told her my situation. She told me that her mother had talked to her about me, saying how i had a talent and extremely good form, and that she should take me to an open gym at south elite that night. I said yes, and packed my stuff to go. I had a good time at the gym, and I was extremely excited to tell my friends about the experience. And after that night, I had told Heather that I had gone, and she didnt seem to have anything wrong with it. I was telling my friends that I had went and they had a really nice gym and i also told them about what the gym had. Apparently, people had overheard and were telling the coaches that I was talking about leaving because "South Elite was so much better than Legacy". And then Heather's husband had started making snotty comments like "Why dont you just leave", "How about you just go to SE since they are just so much better than us". I was on the verge of crying because of the disrespect. Previously that night I had also raised my voice at a coach, saying that I felt forced to do a skill and I didnt want to do it because of fear. I just found it so inappropriate for a grown man to be shaming a child that way. They own a buisiness and that is definitely not the way to treat your customer. I felt scared to go back to gymnastics and cheer that week, so I ended up quitting, and I am currently searching for a new squad. It is a great team, but with such disrespectful staff.
