I honestly don't know how this place stays in business. I saw a flyer needing math tutors with college degrees to help tutor for ACT/SAT specifically. During this brief interview if you would call it that here are the facts. -BA in math related field required -MA in math related field preferred -Classroom experience preferred I am thinking low end with all these credentials and degrees minimum starting pay in the low $30's. The lady whom was friendly enough let me know it only pays $19 an hour ( which is close to 1/3) of my current hourly wage. I chuckled at this as my son whom is in college is working down the road night shift at Mc'd's with no experience making $18.75 per hour. I respectfully declined the position. This company really needs to value there employees whom work there with the appropriate compensation to the level of education one has.

Huntington does seem to be working for my 7yo son. We tried Sylvan and they actually told me 4 months in that they could not help him, completely devastating. So we went to Huntington and have been there for about 3 months I think and he has shown huge improvement. They communicate with his teacher directly, meet with me once a month to discuss his progress, give him one on one teaching without distractions, all things Sylvan didn't do for us. I will say it's very expensive though, my son does only reading and goes for 4.5hrs a week and we pay about $1,100 a month (one on one time is not cheep). Not an easy pill to swallow but seeing him get his confidence back and progressing is worth it.
