Great location. New rooms and very good amenities. Self parking for $12 a night odds very fair. Excellent value for business travel.

The Element by Westin is a green, extended stay brand owned by Marriott International after their acquisition of Starwood Hotels in 2016. Focused on sustainability, Element properties use LEED certified buildings and follows practices of energy efficiency, recycling, and resource management, and features a modern aesthetic that utilizes open spaces, natural tones and lots of light. Element also offers a traveler experience focused on the extended stay concept that's popular among people who travel for business or family, and prize value and flexibility over services. Element hotels lack a traditional restaurant, bar, or room service. There isn't a concierge, valet, or bell hop, and certainly no spa or retail outlet. This particular Element hotel is a dual property that shares amenities add services the Aloft Hotel, another Marriott property, situated next door. The Aloft operates a lounge and restaurant called "W XYX" as well as a gym that are available to guests of both hotels. The two hotels are connected by a parking garage as well as a hallway with conference rooms and a business center. On the Element side, you will find a dining area on their 2nd floor that provides an included continental breakfast w/ omelet services each morning for guest of both properties. Each hotel has their own "pantry" for drinks and snacks that can be purchased 24/7, though Element's pantry is the smaller of the two with a more limited selection. Element is a clean and comfortable place to stay without a lot of frills. This isn't a hotel that dotes on you. The staff is friendly and will try to be helpful, but they're there to check you in and answer questions, not fawn all over you. In this regard, I think the reference to the Westin brand in the Element's name, (Element by Westin) is a mistake. These hotels don't have Westin level ammenities or services and the staff isn't as professional or seasoned. Also, they don't use the Westin heavenly beds (which are much more comfortable. Basically, if you look closely around an Element property, you will see some imperfections in quality and design that are the signs of a 2nd tier property. That said, I'm nitpicking. I gave Element a 4 star rating based on a comparison to other value, extend-stay properties, and not relative to what I would consider a 4 or 5 star hotel overall. The property is part of a nice development with restaurants, shopping, and a local grocery to stock your kitchen. It's a bit out of the way for anyone other than the business travelers this property is aimed at who are here to visit Microsoft's corporate campus which surrounds this area. But the bottom line is that the Element Seattle Redmond is a good value for the money and a fine place to stay if you need the basics of a clean and comfortable hotel close to the location you're here to visit.
