Little Bit Therapeutic Riding

We used to go here a couple years ago. My special needs child is nonverbal. She would get so excited to get on she'd cry in anticipation. She was really improving and once she got on she was fine. But the therapist asked us to leave. I ended up buying her a pony after that. Now I lead her around by myself. I never really understood why we were asked to go and it's hard not to take it personally. But it is a good place and they work hard here.

Well-run, safe, does life-changing work for humans and horses. The one area of feedback I have is related to feedback provided to volunteers. It would be helpful for our growth as people and respectful of our time in general if we were informed in a thorough and constructive manner where we could grow as well as how likely we were to grow in the horse world in any way. I did not seem to be a good fit for advanced training, which is fine, but it would have been helpful to know some time before the end of the two years I decided to spend there. I always received the words that I would get promoted next time or that I was really close. Its okay, Im an adult.
