Great hotel!! Loved every part of it, EXCEPT for the parking garage. Pretty sure the size isn't legal, it's nearly impossible to maneuver in a truck and we didn't fit in any of the spaces. With a garage this terrible they should NOT be charging for parking

The parking is horrible. $45 a night for a really dingy, dark, nearly impossible to drive and park without scraping the car up. You must also have a room key to enter the hotel from the garage at anytime. Ok room and kitchen staff ok. But front desk is incompetent. Breakfast food has some ok things to eat. First day it was a surprise to see a rice steamer full of rice. But on day two the rice was dry and over cooked. Seems to only be fresh every other day. Location borders on dangerous. Short walk East to Capital Hill places and Melrose Market. Pizza/Italian restaurant/bar and a convenience store in same building. But a block West are homeless tents and a psychotic person roaming and screaming. I was told the would be no housekeeping service, but on day before I left, when i returned to room, housekeeping had been there, had taken all soap, and did not leave fresh coffee. Went to front desk to get soap and coffee and clerk said she would send soap up to my room. I called an hour later and said I was still waiting for soap. She apologized and said it would be sent right away. Another hour, way past when I wanted to sleep, I still had no soap. I called again and there had been a shift change new clerk said I'd have to come down to get it because no one else was there to bring it to the room.

Arrived on a Thursday for a long to plan a holiday. Room was not ready until 40 minutes after the 4 PM check-in time. The hotel appears to be understaffed at breakfast and at Front Desk. Now on a Sunday, my air conditioning is out and they cant get it fixed. But housekeeping did bring a fan to the room. Breakfast has been dreckish. In a five night stay, room is serviced only once, despite my request for daily service. Uncomfortable furniture in this suite. Limited television station selection on DIRECTV. Weeds on the patio outside the courtyard door. Little things like cracked soap holders in the shower, and crooked face plates on the outlets, and a broken cabinet door in the kitchenette tell me this is a hotel in some disrepair. Not what I expect as a loyal HiltonHonors member.
