I have been to numerous churches in the Greater Seattle Area. None have felt as welcoming and safe as Ascension. This is a place my wife and I proudly call our church home. With a congregation who is always out in the community doing good work, an active music program (Adult and Children's choirs), and an excellent coffee hour, Ascension is truly a special place that welcomes all.

This is a community of the kindest, most giving individuals. They do so much good locally through working with Ballard Food Bank, Queen Anne Helpline, Operation Nightwatch, Mission to Seafarers and others. They bring in speakers on social justice speakers. They have great family events. And the priest is phenomenal. She is so down to earth and humble but also energetic and visionary. She is doing great things for the church.

I've been a member of Ascension for four decades and it has been a supportive, loving and faithful community through all of the different phases of my life. Our current rector is thoughtful, personable, kind and nurturing. Her sermons are relevant and ground me to go forth in love and service to others in the week ahead. There are many ways to get involved - come join us!
