A Kurant Event

During the entire lead up and execution of, day of "planning" by A Kurant Event was the worst waste of time and money we experienced for our wedding. We were told that benefits of this service was their referral network, check ins and execution day of. We were referred to somewhere for wholesale... that does not sell to the public, therefore we were unable to use them. No other suggestions given. All other referrals were in kind. Inaccessible, not what we were looking for, and a brush off when we asked if they had any connections to better fitting options. Megan bailed and sent an employee for all communications after we were past the time to back out of the contract. This would not have been an issue if we were introduced and it was conveyed upfront, but as it wasn't, it came across as dishonest. Really, the whole thing just seemed like a mess. Her employee seemed to try to make the best of it, but even then it came across as awkward. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I can only think they have good reviews from those who purchase the full planning, and that others like me pend on reviews because they want to think of it as a happy day. It was, but absolutely none of that is was due to their involvement. Steer clear.

Annalise was fabulous. Not only was she a big help with the planning before the big day, but she kept everything running smoothly the day of. We had a mini disaster when half of the centerpiece vases broke in transit. She worked some glue magic and strategically positioned the ones that couldn't be saved and nobody knew the difference! She also has a great eye for decor. She turned a jumble of supplies into a true vision. I am so happy looking back at my photos and seeing how cohesive everything looked - and all with very little stress!

They were awesome. Easy to coordinate with, great sound, and they played all the music we wanted to hear!

All of the reviews are true- Megan Bird and her A Kurant Event team are truly a pleasure to work with. At a time in your life when emotions are running high, and bills are piling up, this woman is a heaven-sent, solution-oriented, calming presence. I hired Megan as a week/month of coordinator for my wedding in Cle Elum in July, and my only regret is that I didn't just hire her to plan the whole thing altogether. She is frugal, creative, resourceful, diplomatic, well-connected, incredibly responsive, flexible, graceful under pressure...I could go on and on. Although I was trying to accomplish a lot on a limited budget, she never made me feel like I couldn't or shouldn't do it - she always had creative, inexpensive workarounds, brilliant alternatives to offer, and great insights on where we should and shouldn't splurge. The vendors she recommended to me were also similarly awesome people with reasonable rates and good taste -- the type of people you not only enjoy having around the weekend of you're wedding, but that you'd genuinely want to hang out with well beyond!
