One Medical: Ballard

Very terrible experience with Dr Darla Klokeid, and One Medical in general. I am canceling the membership and go somewhere else. I was attracted by One Medical's office interior design and their website and app, they seem modern, different from traditional hospital. So I want to give a try. They do look good on the surface but kind of chaos under the hood. I was new to One Medical, I had 2 appointment with Dr Darla, both last less than 15 mins for a 30 mins appointment. My initial one was about 3 weeks ago. We were about 10 mins late because of the new patient paperwork and process. I did research and prepared a few topics ahead of time, knowing that the first appointment would be rush. We were only able to talked about 2 topics, Dr Darla suggested me to schedule another appointment and walked me out 5 min prior to the end of the appointment. A few days before our second appointment, I received an message from Dr Darla saying that she is going to retire. That surprised me. Why did you accept new patient knowing that you are going to retire in a month? When I asked if I need to rescheduled the next appointment with a new doctor, she didn't reply until the morning of the appointment date. So I didn't have time to reschedule it. She was about 10 mins late for the 2nd appointment, and we didn't have chance to talk about too much, most of the time was spent on referring new doctors. She didn't give me chances to talk about the health related issues I really want to discuss. And she stand up saying "Let me walk you out" 5 mins prior to the end of the appointment. Other logistics with One Medical is not smooth either. It seems that they outsource a lot of stuff to other hospitals, which means there gonna be a lot of communication overhead. For example, my lab work was delayed for over a week because of that, and You have to push that through, otherwise it will fall off the crack, I had to make numerous calls to make the report is ready before the appointment. No one really paid attention to it.

Nothing but positive experience with One Medical. Seamless appointment booking experience and same day appointments available. Staff is outstanding and so are the providers. Highly recommend for primary care needs.

Only ever had a great experience at this location! The staff are brilliant and Dr Sybil is everything you could ever want in a doctor - knowledgable, kind, and caring.

My whole family goes to One Medical for primary care. We love it. The on-demand video appointments available 24 hours a day are the best thing ever. A great way to get care after hours without taking a child to the ED.
