We worked with Rob to get our townhome, and he was just excellent. Super easy to work with, so pleasant and open and knowledgeable. He walked us through our options, and when we found our house and it was time to lock in on interest rate, he checked with us and pounced -- saving us a lot of money. He was referred to us by friends who'd used him on their mortgage, and we'll use him again if we refinance. Highly recommend.

I have some experience with real estate, having bought a condo in Chicago a few years ago (Chase), and then refinanced the loan (Better Mortgage). For my West Seattle townhouse I was planning on going with Chase again because why not, it went smoothly the first time. I shopped around and got estimates from all the big lenders, Chase, Rocket, Better and even a few more. In the end they were all similar. I was in a slightly unusual situation, having a large amount of capital for a down payment, and getting seller concessions. It turns out there's a limit to how many points you can buy, so it was tricky figuring out how to use the full seller concession. Rob was amazing to work with. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional and responsive! He truly cared about my unusual case and went the extra mile, which is definitely not something you would get working with a large corporation! So if it costs you roughly the same (actually Rob's estimate was the lowest) then why not support a small local business for even better service? It's a no brainer and I will continue to work with small loan servicers in the future.
