Bright Horizons at West 8th

The West 8th center and its leadership have done a terrific job providing back up care for our kiddos. The curriculum is well received by both of our children and they enjoy their teachers. In general, we have had a great experience with all of the BH centers we have used for back up care, but this one is a favorite for our children.

Bright Horizons at West 8th has been like a second home for my kids since 2016. Our daughter graduated last year from K-prep more than prepared for kindergarten. Our 5 year old is in K-Prep this year and the growth he continues to have is because of the supportive and nurturing environment the BH teachers have provided. Our 3 year old cant wait to go to school every day and she comes home every day excited about all the activities she did during the day. Were also excited to have our newest baby join the Bright Horizons family in May. Having watched the other kids in the infant class, I know how safe and cared for he will be. I cant say enough about the staff and teachers at the center - beyond exceptional and dedicated to the safety and growth of my family. Id recommend the center to anyone looking to have a stable and caring environment for their children to go to every day.

I opted for a backup care for my 10mo. As a parent I opted for bright horizons thinking that my child would receive the best care. Unfortunately I am highly disappointed with the quality of teachers they have. The lead teacher I would say is good, experienced and interactive. But the others especially some of the support teachers I met and observed are just expressionless, immune to crying kids and least interactive. They just follow a protocol, no feelings nothing. With the name bright horizons have, as a parent I really expect something better from them in terms of understanding and handling toddlers.
