I rented a brick from Roadpost and am out $180. I found that they were always responsive, which was great. The phone just didn't work. Their instructions were to dial 1 plus the area code and number. This is the same way I place every call on my cell phone so I didn't test it before going out on the water. When I was out on the water, it didn't work. They are insistent that couldn't have done this properly. I rented this phone in case of an open water boat emergency and fortunately didn't need it. But I regret not testing it before leaving. As a fellow consumer, I suggest that if you don't have a brick at home, pick a rock up off the ground and bring it along instead of spending the money on a Roadpost brick/phone. Just my two cents...
