i have a growing concern for my safety and for my liberties. i have court for driving on suspended in the 3rd. July 5th was my first court date at the hearing i was asked by the judge if i spoke with my attorney. i told her that i called Department of Assign Council, she said there wasnt a DAC and at my arraignment i was told who my attorney was, yet there was no arraignment Then she assigned me to an attorney in the courtroom Bryan Gillihan and told me to call and speak with him by my next court date. On July14th i called his office and spoke with him. At that phone conversation he told me he was busy and did not have time to talk but was going to set a motion for a continuance. On July 19th i had court. The judged asked me if i spoke with him, i told her i had and relayed what he told me. Then instead of defending me, he prosecuted me by saying that i called him at the last minute and did not have the time to review. The judge then put me in jail for not calling him in a timely manner. i did not understand that was happening to me. i have no priors in this county, havent been in trouble with law enforcement in over 10 years and attended all my court dates. i bail out early the next morning with half my rent money . i had an appointment with my attorney on July 29th at 10am, at that appointment i wanted to clear the air and find out why i went to jail. he told me i went to jail cause you blamed me, i tried to reassure him that wasnt the case. then out of no where he starts screaming obscenities and asked me if i wanted to f'n go there, i was confused on why he was upset yet wouldnt let me speak, he then became violent bumping me with his chest screaming a half inch from my face. he is a big guy and he knocked me out into the hallway where i yelled help from any attorney that could hear, asked him to back himself out of my personal space, the screamed get the F out of here a few times yet wouldnt let me leave until another attorney showed up and said just leave and that he let me go. i walked across the street to my fiance was waiting with our 4year old son in a park and i called the police. after i made my statement the officer said she was going to his office and asked me what i wanted her to do, i said i wanted to press charges and have him arrested. i left and as i got home the officer called me but before she could i see a big black truck revving his motor in a suspicious manner i told the officer on the phone that the driver appeared to be my attorney. The officers said he's not at his office when officers arrived. all weekend the same black truck taunted us. i put in a motion for a new attorney, yet im afraid i will go to jail tomorrow at court over his anger. This was at his Yakima Ave office when this occured.

I got a failure to yield and was worried because I am in a driving position. Finding a traffic ticket lawyer seemed to be hard to do in Yakima. I am sure most defense attorneys do it, but most seemed to be for more serious criminal non traffic offenses like robbery or murder. I stumbled across a few and wasn't impressed with most because of not returning calls, and/ or having to make an appointment. I work 50+hr weeks and only get one half day a week. When I called Kendrick and Malone Office, the receptionist was immediately able to assist me with my many questions. I was also invited to come in same day for free consult. When I arrived, the staff was patient with me while I was with my child and the paralegal was great! She answered a ton of my questions, told me what was realistic, and armed me with so much info, that I even felt confident I might have contested on my own or more likely, defer to avoid paying for representation. I really do appreciate the professionalism of this office; they really made me feel they were on my side and not out to get my money. Will definitely hire!
