We stayed at your Vancouver location on March 23rd-25th 2024. When we got back to the room the evening of the 23rd, my daughter got into bed and quickly asked memom am I bleeding? I responded no, you are not. I quickly removed the sheets from her bed and called the front desk and received blankets ( the brown rough ones). My daughter was completely grossed out and very uncomfortable. The next morning I contacted the front desk via the app. I was chatting with Renee L, I explained to her what happed -the blankets were collected that morning. We went back and forth for a bit, what was offered was a free breakfast ( we dont eat hotel breakfast and 5000 points) and both are useless to us since we wont be coming back to a Hilton again. Im very disappointed , this is completely unsanitary and unacceptable. Whose blood is this, are they sick? Do they have a disease now you guys have put my daughter at risk for a health issue. It wasnt old blood either. If you zoom in on the picture that is fresh blood its completely disgusting. Not to mention the down comforter that was under the sheet had stains all over it I feel its very unsanitary, and you put our health at risk. Im sure all of your employees have been through OSHA training???? Rooms: The couches are falling apart. They need to be replaced. Safety: There was blood on my daughters sheets and it was not her blood. The hotel did not seem to care. They offered 5000 points and a free breakfast, no, thank you if theres blood on the sheets who knows whats in the food.

This hotel isn't yet up to Hilton standards. We switched rooms after the first night as the list of issues was too long(and noisy). After discovering mold in the toilet tank in the first room I checked and found it also in the second room. Staff didn't seem to be too worried about this when reported. The pool was open but the hot tub was not. Small and slow elevator did keep us on the stairs so we got our exercises that way. The panic hardware was missing pieces on many of the doors we passed through creating sharp edges for guests to catch on. A missing strike plate would allow the stairwell door blow open in the event of a fire. Too many issues to list with the mechanics of the building but the staff was great. I believe Hilton is reviewing a sample layout of an upgrade but this needs to happen soon. Rooms: Clean beds. Worn out furniture for lounge area. Missing TV in room lounge area. Noteworthy details: Old hotel in need of an upgrade. Should never have mold in a guest room even in the toilet tank!

Good Morning Katie, Thank you for taking the time leave feedback regarding your most recent stay. As I mentioned to you; we do take cleanliness very seriously at our location. Upon bringing this to our attention, we do launch an immediate investigation into the bedding which was assessed immediately in addition to the room usage reviewed by leads in each department. As you mentioned; the sheets we assessed, the blood seemed extremely recent and had not had a chance to set into the sheet at the time of collection. We did establish the last time the room had been utilized was several days prior to you occupying the room. While I cannot speak to exactly how the blood appeared on the sheet; the facts in front of me do present a scenario to which this incident could have taken place after you check in occurred. As I mentioned I do apologize for the blanket having the stain on it. Typically, when a blanket has been treated for a coffee and soda stain and it has been determined the stain cannot be lifted, we do donate them locally; but it does seem that this one may have been missed after the stain treatment program failed to remove the set-in coffee stain. We did offer you several solutions to help remedy the situation in efforts to make you more comfortable from additional housekeeping services, room moves, early check out without any additional penalty to the desk agents helping to find additional accommodations for you and of course the points and breakfast compensated. Unfortunately, the help we did offer was declined. We do apologize for the situation and thank you for bringing this to our attention.
