Best Western Plus Yakima Hotel

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok. The room was clean. Lots of towels and pillows. The bed was awful! I could feel the springs. The second night I ended up sleeping on the couch which was softer. Finally the key cards...not sure what is going on with the system, but we had to have our keys redone about eight times! Several of our neighbors had the same issues. Every time we left the room and came back, we had to go back downstairs to get keys fixed. I felt bad for the front desk staff who had to keep dealing with this problem. I wouldn't stay here again.

We booked the hotel to have a pool for the kids and northern location. After arriving and seeing the area we realized this was not a good location with homeless camps around. The pool was closed. We were offered a 50% refund so we could leave and find a hotel with a pool, but thats all they could do because we booked online at Bestwestern vs via phone? We shouldve taken the refund! The bathroom shower faucet was falling off the wall, the shower barely worked and the plumbing tape was spinning it off trying to get a decent shower setting, the hanger holding the hair dryer was falling off, instead of a bath mat it had tape coming up. Everything else in the area was similarly priced shouldve booked there, and shouldve cut our losses and left. Will be booking elsewhere next trip to Yakima. Safety: Not a safe location.

The hotel isn't in the best location, yet I feel safe walking out to my car in the middle of the night. It feels like the new owners have really gotten into the swing of things. Breakfast was very good and our room was fresh & clean. We have stayed in this hotel for years and are happy to see the improvements.

Rooms were clean and breakfast is included but it's a bit dated but for the price, not bad
