DO NOT WORK WITH!!!! THIEF!!! We paid Ben 12,000$ back in March to start our project, he lied to me throughout the entire summer and about why he had to keep pushing our job out. Even though he consistently told me he has never screwed anybody over, we decided to cancel our contract with him in September. He told us he would pay us back and then has completely ghosted us. We are now seeing he is doing this to people in September of this year also which means he is still conning people out of thousands of dollars. He literally told us he would not put anything in text or writing in case we decided to sue him. Like maybe hes done this before. He is a liar and a fraud. DO NOT WORK WITH HIM!!! READ BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING WITH GREYSTONE: This has been an absolute nightmare working with our first contractor Ben / Greystone Exteriors LLC as we work to remodel our house. Our roof was the first project and we happily signed with Ben after seeing such glowing reviews and after being pretty much ghosted by Ben, I just cant imagine that theyre all real reviews. We overnighted a check 4 months ago and was told that wed have a new roof 6 weeks from signing the contract. Ben has never made one attempt to reach out to us, except after we threatened a lawsuit. He told us that he scheduled our roof to be installed last week. Didnt show, didnt call. Still no roof. We have been very patient as he has given us 6 or 7 different reasons as to why we keep getting delayed but at this point, we just simply cant trust him, hes taken over 12k and hasnt produced a single receipt after months of trying to get on some schedule. Writing bad reviews is literally one of one last attempts and trying to get Ben to call us back, give us our money back or do what he said and give us a roof, but at this point, there is no trust for him or his company. Edit: I forgot to mention that he asks for a 5 star review when you sign the contract, even before doing any work. Edit: Ben has agreed to cancel the contract after 5 months of waiting and us literally having no other choice but to find another roofer to get our roof done before rain season comes in. Since the call where we mutually agreed it best to separate ways, Ben stated he would send us a check. This call was on August 24th. Since then he has not responded to a single text or phone call. Hes literally ghosted us. DO NOT WORK WITH HIM. I believe this is considered fraud. Contacting General Attorneys office, L&I, BBB. Edit: It is now Mid November, he has changed his address on BBB, effectively pulling down the site for his company, and changed his address per the General Attorneys office. You can now find additional complaints of FRAUD. Weve still not received our refund and he is continuing to meet with people Even now and taking money. DO NOT SIGN WITH HIM.

We had severe hail damage on our Otis Orchards, WA house and barn roofs and siding. The job totaled nearly $250,000 dollars worth of work. Greystone Exteriors (Ben Nelson) was called for a quote after a referral by our neighbor and close who friend used him to successfully install a new roof in the summer of 2021. He looked at our job quite quickly after first contact, but then the shenanigans began in earnest. He cancelled many appointments, and strung us along for many weeks. We took him at his word that he wanted to do our job and his statement would surely beat any other price quote. We held off on hiring another contractor. When he finally showed up many weeks and broken appointments later, his quote was thousands more than others we had for our residential roof. He had no explanation for the higher costs. He never provided any quote for the barn and outbuildings that needed significant work. Numerous calls to him went unanswered and we finally gave up on ever hearing from him again. His inaction set us back months because other contractors booked many jobs while we waited. We were able to get a quality contractor to complete the house roof before the snow flew, but the barn work remains undone and in limbo. There is more to this story. The neighbor who gave us a referral initially lost her one year old roof in the same hail storm. She also had Ben Nelson provide a quote and signed a contract with him to replace her roof and gave him a down payment check of about 10,000 dollars in September 2022. He then stopped taking her calls, and has not done any work. She has since contacted him and they agreed to cancel the contract. Its been many weeks and she has not received a refund. My own opinion is she will not get her money back without resorting to legal means, and even then he may hot have any money to return to her. Bottom line is this: While Greystone Exteriors and Ben Nelson may have done good reliable work at one time, he has gone over to the dark side and is no longer reliable and honest. He will sweet-talk you and do all he can to con you into believing his lies. He will steal your money and say "God Bless You" while doing it. Don't fall for it. Avoid this company and man at all cost. If you don't, you will be sorry.

I signed a contract with Benjamin/Greystone exteriors in August of 2021 and we wrote him a $30,000 check for materials which was approximately 60% off our total cost for re-siding and gutters. He said it would take 6 weeks to get supplies and then we’d be scheduled and he’d have the job completed by end of October 2021. We communicated in September or October when he informed us getting the siding trim would be a problem as James Hardy had stopped producing it until they could get caught up on siding orders. We communicated monthly at my request from then until April as we waited for him to get materials. After our April communication, he ghosted me and I heard from him occasionally via text. He butt dialed once in June. I got a few sporadic texts but he wouldn’t answer his phone and rarely answered my texts. In June he did say he had good news and would call me. The call never came. I asked him in September of 2022 (last month) if we could get scheduled and he said he could schedule us and I should call him when I have time. I called him from my work phone and he picked up and said he’d have to call me back. No call ever came and no scheduling ever occurred. I gave him until the end of this week before I report him to the BBB, attorney general, and find myself a lawyer. I gave him plenty of time to get this done and now my patience has expired. Avoid this company at all costs.
