If i could give a hospital no stars i would. Grabage staff communication. My girlfriend is pregnant with twins and had to be asked her allergies numerous times. Meaning they did not chart any of her allergies. The first night they didnt feed her for 6 hours she ate once at 2pm and another time at 8 pm. Out of every hospital ive experienced in life this would be one im bot going back to. She has a baby doctor here for her pregnancy with the twins and in 3 weeks of knowing shes pregnant has only seen the guy for less than 10 minutes. Apparently they are a group practice but for a group to work you need communication. In this case there is none. Some of the nurses were okay but for the most part this place in very unsanitary and unprofessional. We sat waiting on discharge papers for over 30 minutes in which i had to do laps around the floor so my son was okay without him screaming and crying. If you want GOOD TREATMENT. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO BE!!!!

I and my family have had nothing but poor experiences with this hospital. While some of the staff is nice, the rest are either condescending or incompetent. My last ER visit for food poisoning, I heard the nurses talking and one of them was making fun of me for being a, and I quote, "big baby." Apparently vomiting all morning, crippling stomache pain, cold sweats, and shivering is a walk in the park. My last surgery I was given conflicting (and innacurate) post op instructions which resulted in undue discomfort and potentially damaging the wound as a result. My sister's experience wasn't much better (40+ minutes waiting in the ER. THE ER?! There was nobody else there! Where I'm from, you'd be fired for leaving someone in the ER for that long), and my mother was regularly condescended to by one of the doctors who seemed reluctant to answer her questions on one of her visits, quote "I'll make it simple for you," when he finally answered. She used to be a nurse . I've heard people in town joke that you go to Davis to die. I'm not sure how serious they were being with that one, but they were dead serious when they told me to get an airlift to a better hospital if I ever have a serious emergency. One thing's for sure. Other than ER visits, I'll be making the 40 minute commute to buckhannon for future medical care.
