My stay at the Tygart was great! The room was super clean with lots of great light from the windows. The hotel itself is in a great location - right on the main street. The front desk agent was super friendly and told me about a great Venezuelan restaurant nearby to go to for dinner! Overall, I had a great time at the Tygart Hotel and I will definitely be returning!

Best location in Elkins--walking distance to pretty much everything. Everyone I met on the staff was friendly and helpful, and eager to tell me all about the hotel!
For the past 25 years, Ive traveled for work a lotA LOT. As in some years, being on the road 65% of the year. And all over the world. The Tygart is in the top 5 hotels Ive ever stayed in. Maybe higher. The only hotel I currently recall being equal is the Hay-Adams in DC. There may be another 1 or 2, but Id have to think on it. The Tygart gets it all right, top to bottom. I wish the restaurant and bar had been open during my stay (their grand opening was to occur the day after I left), because if its anything near on par with the hotel, it would be an unforgettable experience.
Safety: I felt very safe walking around downtown, even after dark. Many others were out walking as well.
Walkability: Walking distance to almost anything in Elkins.

Excellent addition to historic downtown Elkins. Close to lots of dining and bars in the City. Hot breakfast was fantastic. Looking forward to the bar and restaurant opening in a few weeks! Highly recommend!!

The Tygart provides a unique and elegant experience to Elkins. The rooms are comfortable, the bar staff is fantastic and the location can't be beat.

I stayed at this Absolutely Breathtaking New Hotel on opening day. My room was Beautifully decorated the bed was perfect the bathroom was Gorgeous it felt like I was home. The staff was Super Friendly and Very Welcoming.
Rooms: Mine was Wonderful it was really relaxing, and beautifully decorated.
Noteworthy details: The staff was Very Welcoming and went out of their way to make sure I was Completely Comfortable .
