    We stayed in the honeymoon suite and is in no way worth the $$. The shower wouldn't drain and the whirlpool water was brown like it came from straight from the mighty Ohio River. We came for the hot and pool and was never informed it has been closed for weeks. The front desk man was not pleasant person at all. Don't waste your hard earned money here.

    It could of been updated more n cleaner rooms but I'm ocd so guess that wouldn't matter right cause nothing is good enough for people that have ocd . Rooms: Needed updated n cleaner Walkability: U can walk to a gas station n mcdonalds there is a couple other walking distance to other stores Food & drinks: What about the food n drinks

    The owner responses on these reviews are actually COMICAL. My husband Chris wrote the last review about our stay this past weekend and the owner made up a whole story about a guy and his wife Courtney being local and stay all the time?? That was not us, mustve been another couple with an issue this past weekend. We were supposed to be staying two nights, only stayed one night and our biggest regret is not checking out the second we walked in the room. Carpets turn your socks black because they are in fact filthy even though the owner claims to clean them once a month. Mold in multiple places in the room and bathroom. Recliner is filthy with stains, mattresses that were 900 dollars are as old as the carpet and have various stains that look like blood. Our son did in fact wake up with bug bites going up one arm. iPhone pictures these days tell you exactly what time and place a photo was taken so we do have photos. We did in fact go down the street to the holiday inn after our one night here, it was worth the extra money for a safe and sanitary stay. I understand the owner has to do certain things to keep the rates low, but it should not be at the risk of peoples health!

Thanks Mr. Marcum for your post stay review. Pool and spa are closed for maintenance purposes. Not only there is a Big Printed sign on the pool door in Red, but also your wife questioned it and saw it while on the way to suite to check before checking in. She commented “Pool closed? well not end of the world”! Are they not her words??? FD girl told her you have hot tub in your suite, so you really didn’t need public pool/spa anyway, then both laughed. You both saw suite before checking in saying “we want to see our suite first”, so you were well aware of everything, before locking the door of your suite. Correct Mr. Marcum? How water can be “brown like Ohio River”? You must be seeing Ohio River “too much” because you said you live across the river 15 minute drive from Hotel by crossing the bridge. We have no such thing as “brown water” here. All 3 suites were rented last night every one happy go lucky with good comments none of them said water was not clear except you. Did you put foam bath in your hot tub?? Matter of fact Suite #233 (J. Jonson Canton Ohio) said she will recommend the hotel to everyone. What a difference of opinion, same night, 2 similar suites, one is N/S one is Smoking (yours). BTW.. It says very clearly in our site at Expedia before you make reservation that “Pool/Spa are closed for Maintenance” Please look again, you’ll see it so you knew it and also saw it that pool area is closed for maintenance, but you still wrote about it even if well informed.We still can’t comprehend how FD was unpleasant. He wrote down all your comments about your stay while you were standing there upon C/O. He said, no other conversation took place besides the comments, for you to say he was not pleasant person. We apologize for that. We are in hospitality business being unpleasant is not an option. We were appalled by reading your advice to others, after you enjoyed your sty from 6p yesterday to 10a this morning without a peep. If it was that bad, you were not gonna stay for a minute at all. We apologize once again!

Nice effort Jen to put us down, but we have a tab in our PMS which tracks all guests who stayed here for last 6 months and “fortunately” you are not one of them! You never ever stayed here with us nor entered into any financial bindings to pay for our services. Then why would you put these derogatory grading in Google for us? Who knows however only you can tell! May be getting paid for doing that from our adversaries or yourself is one of them or just a mean, vicious, hurtful, and evil nature person! Some people are born with such venom!We will not respond to your grading in this review because it is not warranted being a false illegitimate and unverified review which is Google responsibility before they let such reviews get published on their site which is nothing but slander and defamation. That is all we can say as a response from our side not even worth our time!

Sorry Mrs. Baker for the late response. You said your husband Chris Baker wrote the review which we responded, and then you said we addressed the wrong person. There was only one Chris Baker in house on that night who was a local and we replied to his review. Your name is Molly Beyer and you “married” to “Baker” however your last name is not “Baker” only you can solve this mystery! We don’t know what room you were in, which triggered a bad review because neither you nor your so called “husband” is registered in any room with night of Friday July 7, 2023. We had 17 rooms for Regatta, paid by them if you are one of them you are the only one who complained out of 17 all left happy and satisfied with their stay except you who has no name on any room. If you are one of Regatta room then you didn’t pay a dime for your stay and got it perfectly for free paid by Regatta, however you and your so called husband (with different last name) went out of the way and made all those comments which were absolutely not true because none of our rooms had such issues and being rented everyday We don’t know what wrong we did to you or to your husband to deserve such a review. You know our rooms and how they look like and what we provide, and how amenities look like by logging in to our website before coming here because Regatta provided that info to all their guests. Holiday Inn is newer hotel but double the price that is 2 nights here equal to 1 night there; however you should have opted for that to start with, if you have such a high standard! You just had to pay $189 plus tax from your own purse instead of burdening Regatta where people came to for fun and pleasure. We welcomed them as guests for their lodging needs. No this response or before to so called “husband” review are not “comical” but just true facts. You expected HIEX standards by paying ½ price of HIEX that is comical, then leave 7pm Saturday 7/8/23 when everybody was leaving even if Regatta paid for 2 nights. Why didn’t you come to FD and C/O and pass your comment to us. You just left and made all this up because you wanted HIEX standard for a room which you got for free spending no penny! You have seen all this when you checked in why didn’t you C/O at that time or request for room change because there was nothing wrong in the room. We even make courtesy calls to each room with in 10 minutes of check in time asking if anything wrong? This is a hotel where workers stay. They go to oil fields in mud and rain to do their job. That is why you see a sign at every entrance door “Boothose is in the back” because guest come here with muddy boots, they wash them or they don’t wash them and come to their rooms. This is not a city hotel. So hotel gets dirty fast. We shampoo them almost every week (we said monthly that is hallway) but nobody ever said carpet made their socks black or feet black. We gave your husband email address, why didn’t send pics if he has any of the black socks, which of course is not true. Rooms and bathroom are cleaned everyday, so how any so called “mold” can survive which only exists if place is not being cleaned everyday. Yes recliner can be stained which we shampoo too as soon as we notice. Who put stain on there? Not hotel, it is the guests like yourself. Yes mattresses are $900 each which probably none of your homes has but not a brand new mattress. They are used over the years but when complain comes we replace them. How often you replace your own mattress? We put no blood any where, it is again guest, like you, we just clean them with strong commercial chemical and disinfectant but cant throw away $900 mattress because guest left a blood spot which can be cleaned! Not a new hotel. New hotel will be like that after being in years of use. Come back to same Holiday Inn 2 years and see their mattress, recliner, carpet then you will know what we are talking about. Nothing happened to your health by staying here, probably to your brain for such a bad review!
