She dropped off her documents for preparation, which we did, and we even took the time to notify her that one of her documents was missing which made a difference on her taxes and reduces the taxes she owes. The taxes had been prepared and final for more than a week, and your grandmother had been notified twice of that. They had not been submitted because it is illegal to do so until she signed the authorization forms. She was billed for services that were provided. As her pricing was overridden in 2019 and 2020 I agreed to honor that, and offered to submit the tax return for free, especially as the work had already been completed. No one ever said "she didn't know what she was talking about". I did however take the time to ensure her taxes weren't missing credits she was eligible for, go back through 4 years of filling, and attempted to correct the situation with a free filing. Small businesses cannot operate and remain open with the expectation of free services, because the business has to pay the people providing the service. I'm glad your grandmother found a non profit agency who will take the time to prepare her taxes for free, which we had already done more than a week prior.
