Sent them very sensitive info, said they would get back to me in a couple days. followed up on my request, he said he would follow up again in another week. Going on 3 weeks and still havent heard anything back

Working with Jake Knuppel was excellent! He was great at getting back to me even when I'd call at odd hours and was more than happy to answer any questions I had. He was very good at walking me through and explaining everything in a way that made sense. Will definitely work with him in the future for refinancing or possibly another mortgage.

In August of 2021, I started looking at buying a house. It probably was not the opportune time to make such a purchase (COVID), but I simply couldn't stand living in an apartment complex any longer. At any rate, I reached out to the Mortgage Nerds and eventually received a phone call regarding my application. At the time, I was working as an educator and wasnt 100% sure I was going to be called back to work when school started back up that September, but the school district I was working for was going to pay me my regular wage to stay home, if COVID were still a "thing." However, the lady I spoke with on the phone told me, "No one is going to give you a mortgage based on the fact you'll be getting paid to stay home and do nothing!" Immediately after getting off the phone with said Mortgage Nerds rep, I emailed another mortgage lender I'd found online. Within minutes of receiving my email, that lender called me, and after a very brief discussion about my work situation, said something to the effect of, "Who cares if you're actually WORKING or not, as long as you're receiving a regular paycheck!" Less than an hour after getting off the phone with her, she had me pre-approved for a home loan, and after looking at several houses over the next few months, I closed on a house for about $130,000, with a fixed rate of 2.75%. Since that time, I've referred several people to THAT particular mortgage lender and will continue to do so. I have not - nor will I - recommend the Mortgage Nerds to anyone!

What a personalized, professional, mentor-mentee experience. Brian felt like a buddy walking me and my wife through a big purchase. His communication was superb as he and his team emailed and texted to follow-up on questions they needed answered. He held us accountable in the kindest way possible so the transaction stayed on track. Signing documents was a breeze as they used a docu-sign method that was very convenient and efficient. My wife and I didnt need to be together to sign the same document. Very helpful during the workday. Brian also watched rates like for us like a hawk. He was able to lower our rate at the last hour, which is produced more paperwork but was in our best interest. We are appreciative. Ill definitely recommend him to any of my friends looking for VA Loans or who even need questions answered on any rumors or negative here-say information checked.
